The Chokher Alo Scheme is free eye care and cataracts senior citizen operation scheme for all. This scheme is launched by West Bengal Minister just ahead of the election. This WB Chokher Alo scheme is launched for poor eye disabled people from 2021 to 2026.
Under this Eye Care Scheme, there will be a total of 10 lakh government school students who can treat their eyes. Also, planed a total of 4 lakh eyeglasses will be distributed to all government school students. This scheme is also for free Anganwadi center.
Those children visiting govt Anganwadi center can have a monthly eye checkup. This initiative will help the Anganwari children to get the early situation of the bad eye affected student. There are more than lakhs of people who will be helpful with this Choker Alo scheme.

This is the first time in West Bengal where these types of free eye checkup schemes launched.
But you may not know how you can apply for free eye care checkups in West Bengal or when they come to you for a free eye checkup.
Though the WP sarkar launched this scheme in Jan 2021, the application Or online implementation will be from March. Now the question is how they get this service. Is there any online portal available for that? Or, govt himself decide to visit certainly any particular place.
How To Get Free Eye Care Checkup Or, How To Apply For Chokher Alo Scheme 2021?
As we know, this ‘eyes for all by 2025’ Yojana is just launched. At their launching ceremony, govt doesn’t reveal any official announcement regarding its online application.
As per the previous record, we can say govt will launch an online portal for all online queries. But there might be a chance, and the requiring team will visit all the health centers monthly. Before that, all the defective persons or villagers will be informed about that.
That’s what we want to say, don’t think about the online application of the Chokher Alo Scheme. Whenever the time comes, every patient will get proper treatment with proper care.
According to government notice, this scheme is divided into two different phases. In the 1st phase, the health care worker will visit 1200 panchayats for the primary eye checkup.
After that, they go for the further stage. At that stage, they do visit all the primary schools for child eye care.
With this Magna Choker Care Scheme ২০২১, a total of 4% of people of this state will get free eye care checkup.

As we know, there is no official online portal created for this scheme. That’s why WP Sarkar doesn’t give any helpline number yet. As soon as the WP sarkar sets the helpline number for Chokher Alo Scheme, we will update it here.
